Meet the Coaches

These aren't just coaches - they're mentors who genuinely care about the players.

Noe Santos

Head Coach / Program Director

Noe Santos

I'm Noe Santos, Head Coach and Program Director of the San Diego Tritons. My goal is to help players grow their skills, build confidence, and find a community through hockey. I'm passionate about growing roller hockey in San Diego and creating a program that players and families are proud to be part of.

Background

I've been playing roller hockey for 22 years, and it has shaped so much of who I am. The friendships, experiences, and lessons I've gained taught me the value of hard work, perseverance, and being part of a team. Coaching is my way of giving back and sharing those opportunities with the next generation.

Over the past five years, I've put my heart into building the Tritons alongside coaches I grew up playing with. That shared history means a lot to me, and I want our players to build those same lasting connections while creating their own memories in the sport.

Coaching Philosophy

I believe in working hard while having fun. Players should enjoy coming to the rink and feel comfortable being themselves, while understanding that improvement takes focus, effort, and a willingness to learn. Finding that balance is at the heart of how I coach.

I want every player to know that their coaches care about them and believe in their ability to improve. I encourage questions, treat mistakes as opportunities to learn, and challenge players to take responsibility for their effort and attitude. Being a Triton means showing up for your teammates, being open to feedback, and following through on your commitments.

Ultimately, I want to develop better players and better people. Learning to handle adversity, support others, and keep working toward a goal matters well beyond the rink. My hope is that players carry those lessons, and their love for hockey, with them wherever life takes them.

Andrew Day

Coach

Andrew Day

I'm Andrew, one of the assistant coaches here with the Tritons. I grew up playing roller hockey alongside Noe and Zac, so getting to coach with them now is something I take a lot of pride in. I want every player on this team to feel supported and to grow in the game.

Background

I grew up playing roller hockey in the San Diego area and have been around the sport for most of my life. Playing competitively over the years - including time in NARCh tournaments - gave me a deep appreciation for what the sport can teach you. Now I get to be on the other side of it, helping the next group of players build those same experiences.

Zac Miszkiewicz

Coach

Zac Miszkiewicz

My name is Zac, and hockey has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up playing with Noe and Andrew, so getting to coach alongside them now is pretty special to me. As a coach, I really just want the kids to enjoy being at the rink. Of course I want them to get better, learn the game, and improve as players, but I think that should happen while they’re having fun. I want them to look forward to coming to practice, enjoy being around their teammates, and hopefully grow to love hockey the same way I did growing up.

Background

I first got on the ice when I was 4 years old and started playing roller hockey when I was 5. Growing up, I played both ice hockey and travel roller hockey, with most of my roller hockey being out of Kit Carson Park in Escondido.

Over the years, I’ve played in a lot of NARCh and other roller hockey tournaments, and I still play in tournaments today. I also played ice hockey at UC Irvine in ACHA.

I’ve been coaching for a little over two years now, and I’ve really enjoyed being able to take everything I’ve learned from playing hockey my whole life and pass some of that on to younger players.
